and it looks like the stud slots on the longer section needed to be redone at some point

from APO 230 in New York City

but it essentially changes from a Shinogi-Zukuri with a Bo’hi (fuller) to Moroha Zukuri to a shobu-zukuri as one proceeds from the hamach (blade notch) to the kissaki (blade tip)
